Berry Clutch

I’m starting my 2 weeks holiday today. Yippie! 🙂 I think it’s good to have a break from my full time work since I was pretty tired from all the routine. So, I found this cute pattern called Berry Sweet Clutch from Leisure Arts (pdf link here) some time ago. It was featured in”20 Free Patterns for One Skein Projects You Can Complete Before Christmas” by Crochet Concupiscence. I have a big ball of purple yarn that was given by my friend last year. I thought this would be a perfect way to use up the yarn 😛 From the pattern picture, I thought the final product will be a medium size clutch. However, when I finished crochet, I feel like mine is a bit smaller. Maybe it was my yarn that has different weight than the one used in the pattern.

Since I made this for my mom, this small clutch can be used as her cosmetic case. I hand sewn the cloth lining inside the bag to make it sturdier. I used magnetic snap instead of button because I couldn’t find a button that has the right size for the small hole on the flap. I made flower to cover the back of the magnetic snap and I added a sparkly button to make the clutch prettier 🙂

Oh and don’t forget to visit my Etsy store: and like us on Facebook: 🙂
