Arrow Slouch Beanie

Sometimes ago, my friend from Vancouver contacted me. She wondered if I could make a slouchy beanie with archery theme. And I gladly accept her challenge πŸ™‚ I found a perfect pattern for the slouchy beanie from Little Monkeys Crochet’s website called Sandy Slouch Hat (click here for free pattern). I made some modification around the band since I don’t want to have a flap. Another modification was that I used 6.0 mm hook since I don’t have 6.5 mm one. When I compared the gauge given on the website and the measurement of my hat, I was a bit off by 3/4 inch. So, I deliberately added some rows to achieve the same measurement as in the instruction.

I used Owlishly’s free heart pattern (click here for free pattern) to make the head of the arrow. As for the remainder of the arrow, I crocheted them without any pattern. At the end, everything works wonderfully πŸ™‚ I hope my friend enjoys her new beanie…
